Day 8 Sun, July 4: KNOCK SHRINE & MACKIN BIRTH AREA SIGHTSEEING
This morning travel through Claremorris to the
pilgrimage town of Knock. Celebrate Mass at Knock Shrine, one of the
world's leading shrines where the Virgin Mary appeared to 15 people on

Then set out for a visit to the birth area of Elizabeth Gordon in Roscommon, Ballaghaderreen and Castlrea. Return to your hotel in Westport where the Mackin Family will continue on to the birth area of Mary Mackin with a stop along the way. Westport, Carrowtootagh, Islandeady and Curragushlane, all in Mayo, are the recorded areas for Mary Mackin, while Roscommon is the County of Elizabeth Gordon’s birth. Those not related to the Mackin Family may go along or enjoy some free time in Westport. Return to your hotel and freshen up before dinner.

Day 9 Mon, July 5 Connemara lady cruise, celtic crystal & kilkee
Depart Westport and travel through the Connemara region to admire the sweeping views of boglands and misty mountains. As you drive along you will see many sheep that graze freely and also tracts of bogland where some people hand-cut peat for home heating. View Kylemore Abbey, a 19th century neo-Gothic mansion overlooking Kylemore Lake. Originally a private residence, it is now a prestigious girls' school.
